The Mississippi Arts Commission awarded the Muscadine Jubilee a $4,100 grant in July.  This grant is a portion of the $1.3 million in grants the Commission will award in 2017-2018, and will be used for advertising and securing artists for the Muscadine Jubilee. The grants are made possible by continued funding from the Mississippi State Legislature and the National Endowment for the Arts.

The family-oriented Muscadine Jubilee is a well-established 37-year-old event. Our Town of 1,342 manages to draw a crowd of 4,000 to 5,000 people and maintains a low gate fee at $5 per person.  September 9 is the date of the next event which features Marty Stuart and Neal McCoy.
