Author R. Friend will be visiting PES on Tuesday, March 28. Ronda Friend is a children’s author, professional storyteller and entertainer. Her wholesome family series, Down on Friendly Acres, centers around farm life in the 50s and 60s, and has been described as “Little House on the Prairie meets Green Acres.” Each book highlights a character lesson like forgiveness, patience and kindness.
She has written “Pantic in the Pigpen” dealing with frustration, and many other books. She will be making two presentations in the auditorium from 8:15 to 10 for K-3 and fourth through sixth grade. A writing workshop in the afternoon will be held for third through sixth grades. Kids are encouraged to dress like a farmer that day at school. There will also be Family Night where our folks will participate in play.
