Michael J. Wolf has been appointed the new City Attorney for Pelahatchie.  He was approved by the Board in a Special Session on June 12. He formerly served as City Deputy Attorney for the City of Jackson.



Wolf, originally from California, was admitted to California Bar in1992 and to the Mississippi Bar in 1999.  A graduate of the University of California at Irvine and the University of LaVerne College of Law, Wolf is an author and speaker at numerous Continuing Education Seminars.


“The law is an equalizer,” said Wolf. “I look forward to leading the Town to follow the paths laid out.”


Wolf has also worked with courts in Central District of California, U.S. Southern District of Mississippi, U.S. Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals, Northern District of Mississippi, and United States Supreme Court.  He is a member of The Mississippi Bar and California Bar Associations; The Rankin Bar, Capital Area Bar Association, and Mississippi Defense Lawyers Association. He served on the executive committee for the Mississippi Bar Government Law Section Committee, 2007-2013. He is past chairman of the Government Law Section and  past committee chair of the Mississippi Claims Association and Mississippi Defense Lawyers Association Annual Joint Seminar, 2009 and 2010.
