The Third Annual Rankin County Bucking Bronc Bash will be held on Sunday, October 7 at 2 p.m. eight miles north of Pelahatchie on Highway 43. Organized by local bronc rider/farmer Cole Bilbro.
"I thank God for the opportunity to help our community and first responders," said Bilbro, who raised around $3,500 at last year’s event.
This year, the recipients are Ever Reaching Community Outreach (ERCO) and the Leesburg Fire Department. More than 600 folks attended the 2017 event. The premiere sponsor is Lyle’s Power Equipment. Other sponsors include Helena Chemical, Runnels Plastic Surgery Center, Pelahatchie News US 96.3 Radio and 93.5 The Legend as bucking chute sponsors.
There will also be a Kid’s Zone with ponies to pet or ride and fire vehicles for the kids to explore. Admission is $10 admission with kids 12 and under free.
