In August, Farm Bureau started a year-long program to recognize achievements by students and faculty at Pelahatchie High School (PHS).  The Athletes of the Month awards were presented PHS student athletes Gunner Till and Brianna Galbraith for excelling on and off the field.

Farm Bureau representative Tanner Wilson of the Brandon office said, “We are proud of the winners and the things you are achieving.”

Duncan Tucker received the “Handled It” Award given to a teacher by the administration for modeling professionalism; exhibiting exemplary character, as well as a “do right” attitude and the ability to problem solve, according to PHS Principal Teague Burchfield.  Bob Robinson was awarded the “Big Time” Award, given to a teacher from another teacher for lending a helping hand or fulfilling a duty for a peer or student in need, said Burchfield.

“To personalize it, we ask the recipient to sign it and to add decoration to it,” said Burchfield.
